1. Who these terms are with
Abide in Christ (“Abide”, “we”, “our”) is a subscription-based church management and devotional application provided by Vivaha Info OPC Private Limited, a One Person Company registered in India, with its registered office at Samalkot, Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, India. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Vivaha Info OPC Private Limited when you use the app or this site. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an Abide account. By creating an account you confirm that you are eligible and that the information you provide is accurate. Pastors and admins additionally confirm that they have permission from their congregation to enter and manage member data — including records of children and young people, for whom the church must have obtained parental or guardian consent, as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Your account
Authentication is passwordless. You sign in with Google Sign-In, and after signing in we verify your phone number with a one-time password (OTP) delivered over WhatsApp by our messaging partner, MSG91. You are responsible for keeping access to your Google account and phone number secure. Tell us immediately at support@abideinchrist.app if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
4. Subscriptions and payment
Abide is offered on a paid subscription basis, purchased by the church — not by individual members. Subscription plans and pricing are shown at the time of purchase.
- Payments are processed on the web by Razorpay. We do not collect or store card numbers, UPI IDs, or any other payment instrument details — Razorpay handles those directly, under its own terms and privacy policy.
- We store only the subscription status, plan, invoice reference, and billing contact for the church.
- Payment links may be sent to the church’s billing contact over WhatsApp, via MSG91.
- If a church’s subscription is not renewed, we may restrict that church’s access to paid features while retaining its data in line with the retention rules in our Privacy Policy.
The pastor or admin who manages a church’s subscription is responsible for keeping the church’s billing contact details accurate and up to date.
5. Your data, your church’s data
You own the content you add to Abide — members, prayers, sermons, hymns favourites, and so on. We store and process this content only to operate the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or request deletion of your data at any time.
6. Pastor & admin responsibilities
Pastors and admins who add member data on behalf of their congregation must:
- Obtain consent from each member (or the member’s parent / guardian if under 18) before recording their personal information.
- Use the data only for legitimate church purposes — pastoral care, communication, prayer support.
- Keep their login credentials private and not share admin access with people outside the church leadership.
- Comply with applicable data-protection laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Abide to share unlawful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, fraudulent, or pornographic content.
- Use the service to attack, scrape, reverse-engineer, or overwhelm our servers.
- Impersonate another person, church, or Vivaha Info OPC Private Limited itself.
- Use the service to spread content contrary to the historic Christian faith that Abide is built to serve.
We may remove offending content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We may report illegal activity to the authorities.
8. Content that ships with Abide
Bible text in Telugu (Indian Revised Version) and English (World English Bible) is included for personal devotional use under the respective public-domain or open-license terms of those translations. Hymns are sourced from public Telugu Christian hymnals and properly attributed. Bible commentary and study material is original work by Abide’s contributors and is licensed to you only for personal use within the app. You may not redistribute it without written permission.
9. Third-party services
Abide relies on the following named third-party providers: Google (Google Sign-In, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications), MSG91 (WhatsApp OTP delivery and transactional messaging), Razorpay (payment processing for subscriptions), and Amazon Web Services (cloud hosting, Mumbai, India). Their use of any data we send them is governed by their own terms and privacy notices. We share only the minimum data needed for each service to function.
10. Service availability
Abide is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep the app and its servers running, but we do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly secure service. We may take the service down for maintenance from time to time and will notify users in the app when this is planned.
11. Termination
You can stop using Abide at any time and delete your account from inside the app or by emailing support. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, harm other users, or are inactive for more than 24 months. We may also suspend a church’s access to paid features if its subscription is not renewed. On termination, your data is deleted in line with the retention rules in the Privacy Policy.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Vivaha Info OPC Private Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Abide. Our total liability to you or your church for any claim relating to the service is limited to the subscription fees your church paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes that cannot be resolved by good-faith conversation will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.
14. Changes
We may update these terms when the service changes. The effective date at the top will be updated and we will notify users inside the app at least 7 days before any material change takes effect. Continuing to use Abide after the change date means you accept the new terms.
